FOR GREGORY. He was not a VICTIM of ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, he was a HERO!

PLEASE NOTE: Even though this blog is now dormant there are many useful, insightful posts. Scroll back from the end or forward from the beginning. Also, check out my writer's blog. Periodically I will add posts here if they provide additional information about living well with Dementia / Alzheimer's Disease.

Gregory

This is the "signature" Gregory photograph I have chosen by which to remember him.

It was taken maybe 3 years ago when we were "light walking" for the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

"Light walking" includes the use of volunteers to be on stage and go through the "motions" of the principals of an opera as the tech crew sets the lights and light cues.

It literally results in the lighting which enables the audience to see the singers on the set and creates the magic that is theater, musicals, and opera.

As a perk, Gregory and I would be paid $4.00/hr and receive dress rehearsal tickets to the entire opera season, including eight operas, in seats that would normally cost +/- $1,000! How generous of The Lyric Opera of Chicago is that?
