FOR GREGORY. He was not a VICTIM of ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, he was a HERO!

PLEASE NOTE: Even though this blog is now dormant there are many useful, insightful posts. Scroll back from the end or forward from the beginning. Also, check out my writer's blog. Periodically I will add posts here if they provide additional information about living well with Dementia / Alzheimer's Disease.

Time for Reflection

Grandfather Otto Goskesen, Gregory's mother Helen's father, was born on the Winter Solstice in 1877. Gregory was very much like Otto: looked like him, was quiet, was reserved, was intelligent, and when he spoke - you listened! If I remember right, Otto in his last years had "hardening of the arteries," as it was called in those days. Perhaps Gregory and Otto had more in common then we know.
