FOR GREGORY. He was not a VICTIM of ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, he was a HERO!

PLEASE NOTE: Even though this blog is now dormant there are many useful, insightful posts. Scroll back from the end or forward from the beginning. Also, check out my writer's blog. Periodically I will add posts here if they provide additional information about living well with Dementia / Alzheimer's Disease.

Still Gregory

Woke up with this morning with this thought. I am still processing what the thought means to me.

Dear Family and Friends,

Gregory is still a very large, important, daily part of my life.

I am not asking for that much from you, but if the only place Gregory has in your life exists in your memory, you probably don't have much of a place in my life except in my memory.

And if you think you are following my life by clicking LIKE on Facebook, and if you comment now and then on Facebook with "I miss you!" ... you are not really following my life.

If you are reading this blog and not commenting with at least "Read this!" ... you cannot say you are part of my life.

This may sound harsh or mean, but your silence and your absence hurts. I cannot pretend that it doesn't!

Michael
