FOR GREGORY. He was not a VICTIM of ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, he was a HERO!

PLEASE NOTE: Even though this blog is now dormant there are many useful, insightful posts. Scroll back from the end or forward from the beginning. Also, check out my writer's blog. Periodically I will add posts here if they provide additional information about living well with Dementia / Alzheimer's Disease.

Wishes

The ceiling fan smooth and silver
Circling round and round.
Smoothly, evenly, quietly.
Wish that I could.
The black framed pictures on the wall
Sitting behind the glass.
Safe, secure, protected.
Wish that I could.
The bedside table lamp
My clicking the switch.
Shining easily, brightly, freely.
Wish that I could.
The disease called Alzheimer’s
Fostering its insidious ways.
Reeking havoc each morning and evening
Wish that I could not.
